Profile of Expertise:
I have a Bachelor’s
Degree from Oklahoma State University in Vocational Home Economics and
a Master’s Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in
Educational Competencies. My first real job out of college was
with OSU Cooperative Extension Service in Choctaw County. I
served as a 4-H educator for 5 years. I then taught Home
Economics, Child Care or Family and Consumer Sciences in several
public school systems the next 19 ½ years.
Nutrition has always
been one of my favorite topics to teach. I have tried to stay
abreast of new information. I especially like teaching the six
essential nutrients and the foods from which they come. I also
have a passion for helping others.
