The purpose of this tour is to provide you with the opportunity to view a vast array of financial resources on the web. Written materials are provided so that you can proceed through the web sites at your own pace. This site is designed to be interactive so you do not need to type in the site names. The written materials however provide backup should there be technical problems. Also the materials provide a hard copy of some of the site addresses. The space at the right is for you to write "reminder" notes. Initially, examples are provided for financial problem solving situations Some sites you may find more interesting than others and wish to explore additional links within them. You may quickly "browse" a few sites and then move on to others that better meet your financial interests. At the back of the packet are supplemental materials so that your learning experience can be further expanded. Entering/Copying Web Addresses The web sites listed in the pages to follow are provided on hard copy and, in Montana, on diskette. How you get to each site is your choice. You can either click the hot link provided, type in the address for each situation, or, in Montana, you can copy the address off the diskette and insert in the browser window. The directions below explain how the latter accomplished. 1. Minimize all your screens. 2. Find the yellow folder marked applications. On most computers it will appear on the left hand side second from the bottom. Double click on the applications folder, then double click on the Wordperfect 8 icon. 3. Wait for Wordperfect 8 to appear in your screen. Go to the upper left of the tool bar in Wordperfect 8 and click on file. Next click on open, then click on 3 ½ floppy, then merrylee.mag.wpd. This process will bring up the file that is provided in hard copy in your pac. 4. When you want to copy the netsite address from each example, use your mouse to highlight it, then press ctrl c to copy. Next bring up the Netscape screen by pointing the mouse pointer to it on the bottom of your screen. Next put the pointer at the netsite window. Highlight the address in the screen, press del to delete. Next press ctrl v to copy the address into the netsite window. Press return and you will be taken to the Netsite that appears in the screen. |
